Deluxe machine package. Includes the following: Reduced Ratio or 1:1 (1:1 is also known as a “Speedster”) crank handle, choice of 2 cylinders and 1 ribber dial, ribber assembly (including tappet plate and ribber arm), ribber and cylinder needles, set of 3 stem weights, buckle, double-ended pick, extra cylinder spring, crescent, wooden shipping box, set of 3 heel forks with weights, and a row counter.
Custom powder coat colors can be selected for an additional cost. If custom color is chosen, it must be a single process coat. No multi, clear, base, top, illusion, candy, vein, river or texture coats. Please read the Prismatic Powder color description closely. Great machine
I already have a very old LeGare 400 and wanted to get back into CSM knitting. The LeGare is cast iron and very heavy and I was hoping for something that wasn’t so heavy, yet durable and well built. The Speedster is that.
The one thing I wish was different is that it had a second “anchor” on the bottom rather than just one because I get a bit nervous if it moves when I crank.
I did forget to say on the table review that I really appreciate the weight hanging hooks on the underside. They make it convenient to place and remove the weights.

The machine arrived in very safe packaging, with everything needed to knit socks successfully right out of the box. Jaime has specifically been very responsive in email anytime I had questions and I very much appreciated that. I also very much appreciated the access to youtube videos on the company channel that helped me with any questions I have had so far with setup, tear down and actual working of the machine. 100 percent happy with my purchase. I love it!
I am absolutely in love with this little red sock machine. I just finished my first toe-up and my second cuff-down pair of socks. Customer Service is awesome. phenomenal machine
I have had an interest in CSM for a few years. Since it is such a BIG investment, I researched and researched. Finally, I settled on buying new. My experience from start to finish has been phenomenal. The customer service is outstanding. Open communication on the timeline expectation for shipping and answering my endless questions. Paypal was easy. The machine itself is devine. Assembly was straight forward (read instructions, watched a ton of youtube videos as a visual learner). I took it apart and cleared it right after putting it together so I could understand how everything fits. Also to make sure no pieces of packaging wedged themselves anywhere in the machine.
It’s been smooth sailing to actually use the gearheart. It’s such a high quality product. A little tweaking of tension and I’ve got sock tubes for days in the sizes I want 😀

Where do I start– My beautiful machine arrived quickly in a most imaginable box. Each component in its own safe location.
I ordered the 64/32 with an extra 48 slot cylinder. the machine runs smoothly and solidly. First thing I did was to change to the 48 cylinder and I did have to readjust things but they were easy to get at and I had all the tools I needed– they came with the machine.
Real wrenches and screw drivers, not “spanners” stamped out of a sheet of metal.
The staff is wonderful. I’ve had many conversations with Jamie Mayfield before and after buying my machine. She is very helpful to the point of trying to replicate things I was trying to do, even on my non-Erlbacher machines.

Great machine, takes time to learn
I researched CAMs for a year before buying this one. It works well out of the box until I changed the tension adjustment, so I am now learning all about tension adjustment and it’s effects on knitting. While it’s a drag messing up repeatedly, it’s only my third day of using my Speedster,and what I learn now will help in quality of future knitting. I like the machine, and love the color.it’s a very well made machine, comes in a strong wood shipping box

I’m in love!
Out of the box the machine is sleek and lovely. Shipping did a bit to get things unadjusted, but within 6 days I had worked that out and made my first hand cranked socks! It’s running like a dream now, and honestly since I had to adjust everything myself it helped me to learn my machine! Truly a great machine!

Very fast shipment, great customer service, a very great American company. This macine had a unquie shipment box and a great way to store it while traveling to crank in. Very smooth machine and very very well built. I had never see a sock machine I was able to start knitting in no time. Very nice well thought out manual and all you need to success. Love this CSM!
I’m so glad PeeWee decided he “could make one of those” when he saw an antique sock knitter. I sold my old Legare because I spent more time fixing it than knitting. The Speedster was ready to knit when I opened the box. My husband and nephew were impressed with the shipping box and packaging. Instructions are easy to understand. The tool package was a great help so I didn’t have to search for the right sized wrenches and screwdrivers. Wish the pick had a better handle making it easier to pick up snd use. Like the older blue handled one.

We are from Germany and it took us some days to decide to take the risk and buy a machine from USA.
We decided in favor of Erlbacher and the Speedster because of the crowd of positive feedback in various social media platforms such as Ravelry, Facebook and youtube. Yet another argument for the Speedster was for us the variety of equal slot ribber dials.
In June 2016 we bought the Speedster Super Deluxe Package. We have never regretted and were rewarded with a fantastic bright and purring machine. Easy payment via paypal, very fast shipment within one week (with tracking number). It took us of course a couple of weeks to get familiar with the machine. During that time we were always fast and properly supported by Jamie via phone or email. She is so customer centric and never gives up to satisfy her customers. 5 Star treatment with exclamation point. Personal advice: read and work through step by step the easy to understand Speedster-Manual and subscribe to SockTV. It’s worth it!
